Practical experience and verification of expertise and skills are of key importance for students to get the job or promotion they want ,that is why IHA offers internationally recognized diploma and certificate courses that groom them to succeed in a global environment ,keeping in mind, that helping students distinguish themselves in the market place is our goal.

        Extensive Facilities…

              At IHA students learn in the most extensive laboratory facilities the industry has to offer. This means their learning                      experience will be hands-on and they will live the atmosphere of the industry.

Moreover , students at IHA have full access to a most up to date facilities like:

  • E-library information where students have access to international universities libraries .

  • Technology Lab where students get training courses in foreign languages , computer skills and micro soft courses, as well as hospitality  software applications (Fidelio , Opera )

  • Sports Facilities where students practice and enjoy  a wide diversity of clubs under the supervision of the Sports Department of C&E American University.

  

Hands-On Learning…  

The best way to learn the skills and strategies that one needs to succeed in  hospitality industry  is through hands-on learning. So  far, only a textbook can take students into an  experiential, instructional methodology where they learn by applying and implementing what they study . Furthermore ,students  will be given case studies and role plays from the industry to be solved in industry simulated learning environments. There is simply no better way to learn.

A group of elite industry leaders  guide them to achieve excellence in their specialization .

This makes their  learning more relevant as it is infused with industry knowledge from an inside perspective. This also gives them a head start in the industry as they are already.

 

The Research Kitchen

It Runs training courses in upgrading chefs creativity skills. Trainers who are interested in investing in their careers will have the chance to meet with the industry tycoons, exchange ideas, learn from their experience, communicate with different levels of chefs from different industry fields , engage in team work to develop new recipes  through practical sessions  , and master different cuisine styles .

Trainers  share a whole product development training .In addition to the hands-on training they will be familiar with other skills such as: market research & resources , collaboration  channels like financial experts to determine the profitability of a recipe  , good communication skills ,and  the ability to persuade , and  to build contacts with the industry. As a result to this training method, we expect to have at least fifty new & unique recipes which would enrich and add flavor to our cuisine.

Our dream of an out of the world recipes will come true by integrating passion for food, knack for science & flair for creativity. We will not dream alone, the new generation of ambitious juvenile chefs will share & will  help make this pink dream come true.

The Academy has the largest and best equipped kitchen laboratory facility in the country.  The one hundred and forty five square meter kitchen is equipped with the latest kitchen technology including a modern French pastry.  This exceptional kitchen facility allows students to train in a real life  hospitality industry kitchen. Students will become familiar with the kitchen equipment, proper usage techniques and safety methods.

 Manage a Real Restaurant

 In culinary skills classes, students not only learn the  principle of fine dining, but also how to run and manage restaurants where authentic restaurant simulators are provided for students to run and operate.
 In teams, students will learn to manage all aspects of a real life restaurant operation from designing menus,  costing items , serving the customer, and scoring the highest number of covers every night. They will be assessed on their management and technical skills.

Restaurant Simulator " Tavern on the Green.....

IHA has its own restaurant which is operated and managed by  students. "Tavern  on the Green" is a restaurant and cafe style operation that could be found in any resort, hotel, or city in the world. It  over looks a landscaped garden, basketball and tennis courts. The  practical experience students gain from managing  and operating "Tavern on Green" will enable students to learn  professional practices of hospitality management .

A Model Hotel Room…

In its drive to ensure that students get practical experience in all areas of hospitality management, IHA has set up an elegantly furnished hotel bedroom, with matching bathroom with all the delicate, refined ,comfortable  means that  helps students to master the housekeeping and hygiene procedures.

Front Desk Simulator

IHA has a front office property management system which interfaces with the software  (Fidelio,Opera) required to run a five star hotel. Students will become skilful in retrieving information and solving problems using the most up-to-date information system the industry has to offer.

Recruitment Office

After graduation  and training IHA helps students  find  jobs both in Lebanon and  the Arab countries .
