If you  are responsible, friendly and enjoy working with people in  a  challenging industry, you are probably suitable for a career in tourism & hospitality. Leadership skills are also important, so if you have the chance  to practice taking the lead extracurricular activities, it would be a great preparation for this field. Its an asset if you  have worked in a restaurant or hotel before enrolling  in one of our culinary, food  and   beverage or hotel management programs. That way you'll be familiar with the pace & the style of work and   know whether  it suits you.                       

If you want to focus on tourism and travel, its important to have a keen interest in people and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Successful tourism students have effective speaking  and writing skills , and many have developed their leadership, culture awareness ,etiquette and protocol skills.
